🏔️ Scenic Journey Like Stepping into a Utopia On the way from the airport to the hotel, the lush natural beauty was everywhere. Along the route, you can see locals practicing archery 🎯, a very common sport here, and everyone seems to be passionate about this traditional activity. 🕍 First Stop - National Memorial Chorten This is a landmark of Thimphu, built to pray for world peace and to commemorate the third king. The chorten is not only a religious sanctuary but also houses many sacred religious paintings and tantric Buddha statues, which are an integral part of Bhutanese life. 📜 Traditional Handmade Paper Factory (Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory) This factory preserves the ancient craft of Bhutan since the 8th century and is one of the country's valuable cultural heritages. Here, you can experience the oldest handmade paper-making process up close, as if traveling through a time tunnel. 🦌 Motithang Takin Preserve This mini-zoo is the habitat of the national animal of Bhutan, the "Takin." This unique antelope can only be found in Bhutan and is definitely worth a visit! 🏯 Visited Tashichho Dzong at Sunset This dzong, standing on the west bank of the Wangchu River, is one of the largest landmarks in Thimphu. The current Tashichho Dzong serves as an important administrative center and is also the office of the king. #MyTravelDiary #TravelBits #OffTheBeatenPath #MyDailyLife #TravelTips #Bhutan#travel guide#trip diary#Bhutan guide#Bhutan diary#guide
