Shikoku's Non-Island-Hopping Guide | Takamatsu City Center (1)
The city center of Takamatsu mainly has two attractions: 🎢🍃 Tamamo Park and Takamatsu Castle Michelin 3⭐️ Park: Ritsurin Garden 🌟The distance between the two attractions is not too far, and you can easily cover them in a day. The remaining time can be spent on the shopping streets, eating, browsing, and shopping to conclude your trip. 🎢🍃Takamatsu Castle (Estimated 1h) Admission is 200 yen. Also known as Tamamo Castle, it is located opposite JR Takamatsu Station, making it very convenient to get to. 🌟Although it is one of the three major water castles, its area is not very large. Only the base of the donjon remains. The main buildings for photo-taking are the Yotsuya Yagura, the Hōkage, the tea house, the garden, the Ushitora Yagura, and the Sakuramon Gate. 🎢🍃The northern part offers views of various small islands. When I visited, it was raining, so I could only faintly see their outlines. Inside the castle, you can feed the red sea bream and take a boat ride. 🌟 However, I don't highly recommend the boat ride, as the area is a bit small and may not be worth it. 🎢🍃There are commemorative castle visit stamps available for 300 yen each, which is even more expensive than the admission ticket. #Takamatsu 🌇🌟
