Went to check out "Reset," a new hotel near Joshua Tree Park, with an open mind—conclusion: unique, but probably not necessary. 😅 1️⃣ Rooms are narrow, converted from shipping containers—long and narrow layout, giving off upscale prison vibes. 🚛⛓️ 2️⃣ Basic amenities: Fellow kettle, coffee maker, towels & robes, speaker, mini-fridge, slippers (thin + hard). 3️⃣ Bathroom and shower are combined, a bit basic (some room types have them separate). 4️⃣ Patio has seats and a fire pit, but wood costs extra—felt more like decoration. 5️⃣ Pool area had a private party on the weekend—DJ + BBQ, volume maxed out, every container room was affected. 🎧🔥 6️⃣ Booked a Mountain View King, but front desk said it wasn’t available (maybe AC broken?). Got “upgraded” to Desert King—big window but blocked by a row of trees = zero view. 🌳🙈 7️⃣ No food or drink options on-site—had to drive 6–7 mins to the nearest town. Limited choices—better to bring your own snacks (sushi 🍣 in the mini-fridge, maybe?). 💰 Price: Mountain View room on weekend = $460+ (website has 15% off). 🛎️ Service: Basically none—only saw staff at check-in. Verdict: If you really want to try the desert container experience, go for it. ✨ But if you’re hoping for stargazing, aim for meteor shower season—otherwise you might just see a big bright moon with very few stars. 🌕🔭 During the day, not much to do.
