Simple Tips for Visiting the Getty Center in Los Angeles

Although I didn’t get to see the picturesque views everyone posts about due to the cloudy and rainy weather, my overall experience was still wonderful. The center is vast and beautiful, clean, luxurious, and the service is great 😂 There are so many staff members – they even hand out umbrellas when it rains. The collections are also quite breathtaking 😌 I’m just curious, how does it turn a profit? It seems like the expenses must be enormous~ Here are some details to keep in mind‼️ 1️⃣: The road to the center is very congested, so plan your time well in advance. Two hours is not enough to see everything. Since the galleries are not connected, some may limit the number of visitors, and you’ll need to queue. In the entrance hall, you can pick up guidebooks in various languages~ 2️⃣: Admission is free, but you need to book in advance on the official website. Make sure to select Getty Center when booking. It’s closed on Mondays. Website address: https://www.getty.edu/visit/center/ 3️⃣: Parking costs $25, and$15 after 3 PM. After parking, take the elevator up and follow the directions. Check your reservation, then your bag, go through security, and finally take the mini-train (similar to a light rail) up the hill. 4️⃣: If you’re carrying a backpack, you’ll need to wear it on your front inside the galleries to avoid touching the exhibits. It’s a good idea to download the Getty Guide App in advance for free audio guides~ #WinterTravelCollection #NorthAmericaLife #LosAngeles #GettyCenter #LosAngelesGettyArtCenter #LosAngelesTravel #Museum #ArtInMuseums #CaliforniaTravel
