Skip’s: A Hidden Gem Near the Airport

💛Skip’s is a cozy and unassuming small restaurant that wins over locals with its excellent food and warm service. 🥨Unlike the mid-priced chain restaurants commonly found nearby, Skip’s focuses on freshly prepared, homestyle dishes full of flavor and heart. 🍺We didn’t have a reservation when we visited, so we waited a few minutes at the bar. But the wait was far from boring—the staff kindly offered us beer, 🥩 and before we even finished our drinks, our table was ready. Though the space is compact, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with courteous and attentive service that makes everyone feel welcome. 🧀The menu offers a wide variety of classic American dishes, including pasta, salads, and steaks. We started with a simple yet delicious garden salad and freshly baked bread. 🥐 For our main courses, I ordered the pasta—a rich and spicy Creole-style dish with complex layers of flavor—while my son had the steak, which was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy.
