Some feelings after Nepal trip
❤️ Embarking on such a spontaneous journey for the first time, I didn't expect to gain so much, and it feels like this approach suits Nepal perfectly, wandering without a specific purpose... It feels like my whole state of being has slowed down. ⚠️ Friends from other countries we met on the road were particularly envious that we could extend our visas for free, while they would have to pay a substantial fee for the extension. ✨ Trekking the EBC (Everest Base Camp) circuit plus Gokyo Lakes We were fortunate to have clear weather almost every day, allowing us to witness the golden summits at sunrise. The passes were crossed under clear skies with good trail visibility. It took about 17 days to enter and exit via land routes from Kathmandu. ❤️ In Pokhara, I experienced a ten-day Vipassana Meditation retreat and was fortunate to secure the last volunteer spot. I met amazing teachers and classmates. ❤️ In Kathmandu, at the Kopan Monastery, I experienced a seven-day Analytical Meditation retreat. The process was challenging, and with my limited English, it was hard to absorb all the information... But I still gained a lot, at least understanding my own limits and noticing some cultural differences between the East and the West. ✨ As I was about to leave, I felt a bit reluctant to go. I met many different people here and also many similar friends. ❤️ It was interesting to find that friends I met in the mountains were almost all interested in meditation, and some I would even encounter in meditation classes... ✨ Many friends I met in meditation classes were either just back from trekking or preparing to go trekking... Most of them were backpackers who had just come from India or were planning to go to India. ❤️ I didn't expect that we all came to Nepal because we liked trekking and meditation. So we have many similarities, and it's especially congenial when we talk. It's very different from the people I meet while traveling in cities... #Nepal #Hiking #NepalHiking #NepalTravel#trip diary#travel guide#Kathmandu#Pokhara#Everest Base Camp#travel life#trip story
