Soulful Peruvian Food in LA: Misky Misky šŸ‡µšŸ‡ŖāœØ

I’ve visited this West Covina gem four or five times now—it’s easily the best Peruvian food on the east side of LA, with flavors that rival what you’d find in Peru itself! Peruvian cuisine beautifully blends local seafood, Cantonese influences, Spanish roots, and Latin American flair—familiar yet uniquely vibrant. Misky Misky not only keeps it authentic but adds a touch of elegance, all at reasonable prices and generous portions. We ordered four dishes and two drinks for around $80—and still had half left to take home! They even included a complimentary green chili sauce. 🌿 🫘 Ceviche Mixto – The marinade is absolutely brilliant—tangy and spiced, so refreshing! The squid and shrimp were super fresh, with a sweet, tender texture. Even the melon served with it was delicious—maybe better than the seafood! 🫘 Tallarin Saltado de Lomo – Wok-fried tomato beef noodles packed with wok hei (breath of the wok)! Watching the chef toss the noodles with fiery passion brought tears to this Cantonese soul—that’s real wok energy! The spicy tomato seafood fried rice is also a must-try! šŸ’„ Chupe de Camarones!!! – A showstopper shrimp and egg rice soup. Fresh shrimp, creamy cheese, tomatoes, peas, and corn, enriched with egg yolk for a rich, comforting depth. A non-negotiable order every time! šŸ· Sangria and Mimosa – Almost Latin American-level good! Sweet and flavorful—half a glass might get you tipsy. Wine lovers can also buy full bottles of Peruvian wine—deep blood-red and truly unique. Overall, the price and portion size are incredibly fair, and it really captures the essence of dining in Peru. While the seafood is sourced locally (not as wild as Peru’s), the seasoning and freshness still impress. The restaurant has a nice vibe, no long waits, and has earned a spot in my Top 3 LA Hidden Restaurant Picks! 🌷 Address: 125 N Fairway Ln, West Covina, CA 91791 Have you tried Misky Misky?
