š South Carolina - Greenville & Charleston š
Greenville ā Charleston The weather in Greenville wasnāt great during our two days thereābut this small city felt even more like a quiet, harmonious fairy tale on rainy evenings š§ļø. 1. Late-Night Road Trip to Simms Chapel (The āPlace Closest to Heavenā) We woke up at 3 AM to drive the mountain roads in the dark to Simms Chapel! The YMCA gate opens sharply at 6 AMāpro tip: donāt arrive too early! š We got there at 5 AM and ended up napping in the car for an hour. Critical note: Pick a sunny day to visit! We were unlucky and hit rain, but we accidentally unlocked a stunning āblue hourā (the soft blue light right before sunrise)āa silver lining! The chapelās serene vibe still shone through, even in the rain. 2. BMW Factory Tour (Reservation Required) The factory is near GSP Airport. Tours are smallāour group of 30 split into two teams to explore. It was absolutely spectacular! 𤩠The tour guidewith so much passion for BMW) was super patient and knowledgeableāyou could tell she truly loved what she does. Learning how BMWs are made was way more fascinating than I expected! 3. Charleston (Where the American Civil War Began š«) Charleston is famous as the site where the first shots of the American Civil War were fired. For a perfect City Walk, head to the area around the Pineapple Fountaināits charming streets, colorful buildings, and coastal vibe make it an ideal spot to wander and soak up the cityās history. #Greenville #Charleston #SouthCarolina #RoadTrip #SimmsChapel #AmericanLife #CoastalVibes #BMWFactory #BMW #SunsetLovers
