South Korea | Incheon: Songwol-dong Fairytale Village + Wolmido Island

Two of Incheon’s most charming spots—perfect for a day of whimsy and coastal fun, just a short trip from Seoul! 🐳 Songwol-dong Fairytale Village You can walk to this village straight from Incheon Chinatown—no need for extra transport, which makes it super easy to add to your itinerary! The village itself isn’t huge, but that’s part of its charm. Every corner is covered in vibrant, fairytale-themed murals: think cute animals, cartoon characters, and dreamy landscapes. It’s a total paradise for photos 📸—even casual snaps turn out playful and colorful. Wander slowly, peek into small alleyways, and you might find hidden photo spots (like tiny decorated doors or flower-adorned walls) that make the visit feel extra special. 📍 Address: 17-1 Songwol-dong 3-ga, Jung-gu, Incheon 🌊 Wolmido Island Getting here is a breeze: Head to Exit 2 of Incheon Station, then find the nearby bus stop. Take Bus No. 45 🚌—it’s a 20-minute ride to Wolmido. Get off at National Incheon Maritime Museum Statio What to Do on Wolmido: National Incheon Maritime Museum: First, pop into this museum—it’s free to enter! Explore exhibits about Korea’s maritime history, ship models, and even interactive displays (great if you’re traveling with kids or love marine culture). Ferry to Yeongjong Island: Take a ferry ⛴️ from Wolmido to Yeongjong Island (a small island nearby). Adult one-way ticket: 3,500 KRW 🎟️ (buy tickets on-site). Pro Tip: Bring shrimp crackers! You can feed the seagulls that fly alongside the ferry—they’ll swoop down close, making for fun photos 🐦.
