🥟🍹 Southeast Asian Food in Boston Open Until 1 AM 😉
Late night hunger hit, but most restaurants were already closed. By chance, I found Cocolee—open until 1 AM! Rushed over right away~ This isn’t the kind of Asian cuisine stripped of its soul through over-adaptation, but a Southeast Asian fusion where spices and wok hei are both on point ✨. We ordered these for two 👇 🥗 Shrimp Vegetable Salad (didn’t catch the full name) Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! My favorite! The first bite instantly woke me up~ Crisp veggies, large sweet shrimp, served with crispy shrimp crackers on the side 😋. Tart and fragrant, it just kept opening up the appetite—truly a “soul-awakening dish”! 🍖 Black Pepper Caramel Spareribs A clever sweet-salty blend of black pepper and caramel sauce, ribs crispy outside and tender inside. The Vietnamese pickles on the side cut right through the richness—the kind of dish that makes you unconsciously lick your fingers~ (Though a bit more meat wouldn’t hurt 😮💨) 🍜 Cumin Stir-Fried Rice Noodles (Mushroom Veggie Version) We chose the mushroom version, and it didn’t disappoint at all! Strong cumin aroma, full of wok hei, with greens adding freshness—so tasty we couldn’t stop eating~ Originally ordered to balance the meal, but it was the first to disappear 😁. 🥟 Lemongrass Chicken Dumplings This one was on the house (they gave it to us because a steamer issue made us wait too long 🧐). Clear layers of lemongrass + chili + corn—one bite: first the fresh lemongrass fragrance, then the savory chicken, finishing with a mild heat. Clean and delightful. ✨ Verdict: As Southeast Asian fusion, Cocolee is bold with spices, layered in flavor, and doesn’t cut corners. Perfect when you want to try something different but don’t want to risk a bad meal~ ⏰ Open until 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, great for late-night hangs or dates 💫. #Boston #BostonLife #BostonFood #HiddenGem #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenRestaurant #BostonFoodExploration #GlobalFlavors #DateSpot #LateNightEats
