Southern California’s Longest-Running Halloween Theme Park Event Has 160 Acres Of Haunted Mazes And Scare Zones In L.A.

One of Los Angeles’ most highly anticipated haunted attractions is already selling tickets for the 2025 Halloween season: Knott’s Scary Farm , an enormous theme park experience that’s been running for 52 terrifying years. Los Angeles’ breadth of film industry talent is on full display at many of its Halloween attractions, but Knott’s Scary Farm takes things up a notch with a sprawling immersive experience spanning the entire 160-acre Knott’s Berry Farm property. For nearly a month and a half, the theme park fully transforms into a landscape of haunted attractions, including ten frightening mazes , five scare zones, sinister live shows, and over 1,000 actors roaming the park dressed as horrific monsters and creatures. Knott’s Scary Farm 2025 ----------------------- ### Haunted mazes Visitors are invited to explore ten haunted mazes featuring heart-pounding immersive environments and engaging themes—two of which are new this year. “Mary – The Haunting of Worth Home” lures guests into a mysterious house with eerie mirrors that you shouldn’t gaze into for too long... and “The Zoo” is a spine-chilling laboratory inhabited by hybrid animal-human experiments that have turned on their creators. ### Scare zones Knott’s Scary Farm is famous for its five vast scare zones where there’s nowhere to hide. “Ghost Town Streets” is a quintessential terrifying scare zone that’s been around since 1973, packed with mysterious monsters that lunge out of the fog. Others include “The Gauntlet,” a reimagined version of the fan-favorite invasion of Camp Snoopy, and “Gore-ing ’20s,” the newest scare zone with a ghostly gangster theme. ### Live performances Guests can also attend three mesmerizing live performances this year, each with a different theme. History of Knott’s Scary Farm ----------------------------- Knott’s Scary Farm originated as “Knott’s Halloween Haunt” in 1973 , running for just three nights with costumed employees roaming the park’s Ghost Town area to frighten guests. The concept also transformed some of the park’s existing attractions into more frightening versions, drawing inspiration from classic horror films. Over time, the attraction’s sell-out success prompted more and more ambitious expansions over the years, including haunted mazes and shows.
