Southern Texas — El Paso Food Guide
Having lived in El Paso for over a year, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the food scene in this border city. Here are my top 3 must-try spots: 1. Carnitas Queretaro 🇲🇽 A standout among El Paso’s many Mexican restaurants. 🔥 Must-order: Fajitas + a sweet dessert. 🌶️ Pro tip: Ask for their Green Salsa — fresh, tangy, and lightly spicy. It’s a game-changer! 📍 Two locations: Eastside & Westside. 2. West Texas Chop House 🥩 A steakhouse where the meat is absolutely phenomenal. 👍 Also try their soups and steak tacos. ✈️ Located near the airport — reservations recommended! 3. Korea House 🇰🇷 A cozy, family-run spot (mom & daughter team) with limited daily servings. 🚨 Arrive early — they often sell out by 6 PM! 🍲 Highlights: Beef soup and seafood tofu stew are heavenly. Grilled meats and spicy stir-fried squid are also excellent. 📌 Note: They take breaks occasionally (like during July 4th week), so call ahead! Honorable Mentions ✅ Mesa Street Grill – Creative American & Southwestern fare. Rulis' International Kitchen – Globally inspired dishes in a relaxed setting. Crave Kitchen and Bar – Trendy spot with solid brunch & cocktails. El Paso may be a border town, but its food tells a rich, flavorful story — from sizzling fajitas and juicy steaks to homestyle Korean comfort. Don’t sleep on this culinary hidden gem! #US #Texas #El Paso
