Spokane, known as the smallest city to ever host a World's Fair, boasts a stunning waterfall right in its downtown core! The lower falls rush with powerful intensity, flanked by a hydroelectric plant that harnesses the river's energy ⚡. Today, the riverbanks have been transformed into a series of beautiful parks connected by the Centennial Trail, offering residents and visitors alike a perfect space for recreation and relaxation 🚴‍♀️🌳. Though it's worth noting – during our morning visit, we observed several unhoused individuals camping along sections of the riverfront. The nearby public library's first floor also appeared to be serving as a daytime refuge for many experiencing homelessness 🎒🏕️.
