Sri lanka travel| today we‘ll go kandy

1️⃣ Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic One of the most famous attractions in Kandy and a world-renowned Buddhist. The temple houses the tooth relic of Buddha Shakyamuni (one of only two in the world!), attracting thousands of devotees and tourists each year. The temple also hosts the grand Esala Perahera procession in August each year, a spectacular event where you can immerse yourself in Sri Lankan traditional culture. 2️⃣ Kandy Lake Located in the city center, this artificial lake was constructed by the King of Kandy in 1807. The lake is surrounded by shaded pathways, and I really enjoy walking around the lake as it's very relaxing. ✨The lake view at night is even more beautiful, with the shimmering water reflecting the lights of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, making it incredibly charming. 3️⃣ Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens The Royal Botanical Gardens are located about 6 kilometers west of Kandy in Peradeniya and are among the most famous botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. 🌈The gardens feature a rich variety of tropical plants, orchids, and tall palm trees (which are great for photos), highly recommended for plant lovers. There are also many cute small animals, such as monkeys, squirrels, and bats hanging from the trees, which look really amusing. 4️⃣ Kandy National Museum The museum is located near the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, making it very convenient to visit after the temple. It houses a collection of historical artifacts and cultural exhibits related to the Kingdom of Kandy, including weapons, costumes, and crafts, highly recommended for history and archaeology enthusiasts. # Kandy National Museum# Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens# Kandy Lake#Temple of the Tooth#Sri lanka#kandy#Sri lanka life#trip diary#travel guide#Sri lanka travel
