Start a Beautiful Day in New Orleans with Brunch!
๐ Ruby Slipper Cafe (multiple locations โ we went to the nearest one) 315 S Broad Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119 At the time, I remember being really impressed โ it felt better than a lot of brunch spots Iโve tried. Looking back now, though, it was pretty standard. Still good, just not mind-blowing. โ๏ธ Creamy Vanilla Iced Coffee Tasted normal, but honestly better than many coffee shops. I usually only drink half my beverage, but I finished this whole cup! The cream on top was sprinkled with Cajun seasoning โ a fun surprise that actually worked! Rating: 5/5 โ๏ธ NOLA-Style Iced Coffee Less sweet than the vanilla one โ finally tasted like real coffee. Rating: 4/5 ๐ด Bananas Foster Pain Perdu Bread + bananas + raisins + bacon + syrup โ sweet and decadent. The bananas were perfectly ripe and sweet (not the overripe kind!). Not sure why there was bacon, but okay ๐ฅ. Rating: 3/5 ๐ด Chicken St. Charles Biscuit base + fried chicken + runny egg on top, served with fresh spinach. Pretty decent, nothing special. Rating: 3.5/5 ๐ด Brioche French Toast Sweet & spicy chicken bites + fried brioche pieces + strawberries โ such a genius combo! Only downside: the brioche was a bit oily. The sweet-spicy chicken was better than a lot of dedicated fried chicken spots! Rating: 4.5/5 #RestaurantRecommendation #NewOrleans #BrunchGoals ๐ณโ๏ธ๐
