Still Life Ceramics Studio | Los Angeles Pottery Class
What else to do in Los Angeles on the weekend? I suggest everyone experience a pottery class at least once. The entire process is incredibly therapeutic ❤️🩹. After the class, I felt that putting down your phone and using your hands to touch the real world can really alleviate a lot of anxiety. The teacher is super nice and patient, making the class relaxed and humorous. The course is only two hours long, which is simply not enough for beginners. The teacher will start by teaching you some basic techniques, such as how to play with the clay. If you have experience, you can skip this step and start your creation directly. After about an hour, the teacher will provide paint, and you can start coloring. Two hours was just not enough for me, so we stayed about 20 minutes extra. The teacher was really great and didn’t rush us at all. Patiently wait for two to three weeks, and you can come to pick up your pottery. I’m looking forward to seeing my creation. 😊 Personal tip: The studio is near the Arts District, where there are many nice bars. I suggest you explore the area while you’re there (for shop recommendations, check out my other posts, hehe). Just around the corner, there’s a Blue Bottle Coffee where I’m totally obsessed with their iced nola. 🔒 🅿 Street parking is available, but it’s not too easy to find a spot, and there aren’t many spaces. 💰 The class we took was called Queer Mixer and cost $45 per person. Different classes have different prices. 📝 You need to book the class on the official website in advance. I recommend making a reservation early. We chose the hand-hammered pottery class, but they also offer pottery classes with a wheel. You can choose according to your preference on the official website. #LosAngelesExploring #LosAngelesWeekend #WhereToGoInLosAngeles #LosAngelesLife #LearnPotteryInLosAngeles #LosAngelesPottery
