Strolling through Lake Union Park
Exploring the Filming Location of Sleepless in Seattle Seattle・Lake Union Park We arrived at Lake Union Park on a clanging vintage streetcar🚋. The park lies on the southern shore of Lake Union, facing Gas Works Park across the water🌉. By the lake stands the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI)🏛️, where you can explore Seattle’s evolution from a fishing village to a tech hub. Unfortunately, we had to catch an Argosy Cruise on the west shore🛳️, so we saved the museum for another visit. Docked nearby is an old wooden steamship🚢. Reading the display beside it, we learned that this former ferry has sailed through over a century of history📜. Besides the Argosy dock, the west shore is also home to a busy seaplane company✈️. Standing by the water, you can watch seaplanes take off and land up close. As a plane skims the lake and soars into the sky, the roar of its engine gradually fades into the wind, and the lake returns to calm🌊. The floating homes on Lake Union are iconic—this is the filming location for the classic movie “Sleepless in Seattle”🎬. Along the shore, yachts and sailboats dock in rows⛵, while various vessels glide across the water. Every seaplane takeoff and landing requires careful timing to avoid boats sharing the waterway✨. 📍 Address 860 Terry Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109 🗓️ July 7, 2025 #CityExploration #Seattle #USTravel #HiddenGems #TravelDiary #TravelMoments #LifeIsAnAdventure
