🥨 Royal Sushi & Izakaya An izakaya in South Philly with great vibes — they even play Spirited Away on the wall 🎬! Offers both izakaya seating and omakase (reservation needed for omakase). Fish is fresh — safe to order your favorites. 🚨 Uni Ikura Don was a letdown — too salty. 👍 Kurobuta Tonkatsu Sando (pork cutlet sandwich) — highly recommended! Quality pork and great flavor. 👍 Okonomiyaki was also solid — satisfied my cravings. Nice neighborhood for a stroll after the meal 🚶‍♀️. 📍 780 S 2nd St, Philadelphia, PA 19147 🥨 Louie Louie Right near Penn Bookstore — serves brunch and dinner menus. Generally reliable — simple, honest flavors. 🦐 Chilled Jumbo Shrimp – fresh, zesty dipping sauce (3 per order). 🥩 Steak & Salmon – pretty good. 🚫 Gnocchi – bland, not recommended 😔. 🍮 Profiteroles & Crème Brûlée – dessert highlights! Perfectly sweet, not heavy — a delightful finish. Haven’t tried their brunch yet — next time! 📍 3611 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19104 🥨 Barcelona Wine Bar Another vibe-y spot. 🥂 White Wine – Mila – delicious, well-aerated, staff said it’s their most popular. 🧀 Salt Cod Croquette – ham & cheese combo balls, tasty. 🦑 Calamari – also good. ⚠️ Paella – widely praised but way too salty… next time I’ll ask for less salt. Would return for the atmosphere and drinks!! 🍷✨ 📍 1709 E Passyunk Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19148 #StudyInUSA #StudyAbroadPlog #Philly #Foodie #Plog #FoodDiary #DailyPlog #FoodLife
