We made a reservation at this place ahead of time for a group of 7. They seated us promptly but the table orientation was quite strange. They put together two square tables and one circular table. They had booth seating areas that were large enough to seat us comfortably so I’m not sure why they seated us in such a strange orientation, especially given we made a reservation.
Our waiter was nice and asked if any of us had dietary restrictions and made a note of it. He then took our orders and all was fine. When the food started to arrive, the female server who brought our food bumped into one of us at the table repeatedly as she placed the dishes onto the table. She didn’t ask who the dishes were for and randomly placed them on the table. She did however note that the first burger she brought to the table was a vegan burger. Two of us heard her state that the burger was a vegan burger. As the rest of the food came, we took photos of the food and started to dig in. Before our horrible customer service experience that I will describe in detail shortly, I already thought that the food in this restaurant was very lacking. I tried several of my friend‘s dishes and they all lacked flavor. Even the truffle fries were cold and lacked flavor (how do you get fries wrong?!). My friends had the same reactions to their food. The only thing this restaurant seems to get right is drinks and sweet foods so perhaps grab their chocolate croissant and espresso martinis.
About halfway through my burger, I remarked jokingly that my burger tasted different from burgers I usually eat. My friend who ordered the vegan burger also noticed that her burger was chewier than normal. It was at this time that we checked the menu and indeed I was eating the vegan burger and she was eating the meat burger. She has a strong personal preference not to eat beef and it was absolutely shocking that our server and this establishment made such a mistake.
We immediately checked this with our waiter who then brought over the manager. She politely asked us if we wanted other dishes but never apologized for this situation. She did not mention she would be taking care of the bill for the burgers or really anything else. She left our table and had a long talk with our waiter. We did not receive any other apologies for this poor experience. Fortunately, they did take care of the bill for the two burgers but for such a high class establishment, their customer service was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced.
This experience might just be a one off and an honest mistake but just be careful if you come here and you have dietary...
Read moreIf you are thinking about booking a large party here think again. I celebrated my 40th birthday there with 15 friends 2/4/23 and it was so disappointing. 1st off I was under contract for a “semi” private space but the table was in the middle of the dining area in a high traffic area at that servers and management were bumping into the back of our seats the whole night. 2nd they gave us a 3 top with 15 chairs. Now I just said it was my 40th so it’s adults. You mean to tell me that they expected 15 huge adults to fit around a table that if separated could only fit 12. They had two chairs at the heads of the table come on now. I had to ask for another table to be pushed together so my guest could be comfortable. 3rd the food runners for whatever reason did not know the seat number and were auctioning off food the whole night. If you never worked in hospitality that’s when they come and yell out your food while your talking because they don’t know who ordered what. It some instances that actually drop the plate in Front of someone only for that person to push it away saying it’s not theirs they then picked it back up and auctioned it to someone else. This was terrible we are on the rise of Covid at that. I had $1k minimal and paid a deposit and a limited menu all to sit in the middle of the floor shoulder to shoulder being bumped in the back with the wrong food.
This was such an anxious experience. Not one manager came to ask how my dinner was going. Not one manager apologized for the food being dropped incorrectly. Not one manager thanked me for having my event there.
I am so dissatisfied with my experience. Yes I did speak up and try to make the best of it I was patient I never yelled I gave them multiple opportunities to make my experience better and they failed. My servers were very sweet I overheard one of them say to the runner seat 1 is here. I took that as she knew what he was doing was incorrect and was trying to guide to a better experience. At the end of the day though I didn’t pay $1700 dollars for sweet I wanted a great birthday experience and I did not get that.
The food is good but there is good food at a lot of places. That’s not what brings people back.
If you are a couple go for it but if you have a special occasion don’t let them...
Read moreWe went here with a party of 10 for my daughter's 21st birthday on 6/7/25. We informed them it was her birthday celebration and were surprised by the fact there was not an offer of a free appetizer or dessert or anything as a birthday incentive, or to thank her for bringing in a large party to celebrate with her. I ordered the ribeye, which was $59 and came with French fries. My daughter's Aunt ordered the same. My daughter's mother ordered the short ribs and onion soup, and my daughter ordered spicy crab linguine and onion soup. Unfortunately, ALL of those items came out cold. We sent back the French fries, and it wasn't until after we were finished the rest of the entrée that the new fries came out. My daughter sent back the crab linguine because it tasted like grass. Literally like grass. Almost like you were running really fast and tripped and face planted in an open field, and now have grass in your mouth type of taste. 3 people at the table tasted it, including myself, and two of them actual chefs, and we all said the same. My daughter made the decision to send it back. She reorderd the half chicken, which she did enjoy. The ribeyes weren't even a quarter inch thick, and they don't have steak sauce. Which i wouldnt normally use, but was needed for this steak. I had to ask for the red wine shallot butter which they said came with. The service was very slow and we were the largest party in the restaurant. I don't like the fact that gratuity was included in the $500+ bill because the service didn't warrant the gratuity, but because we're nice people, we also added in top of it, but it wasn't warranted. The atmosphere is lovely, but the menu, food and service left a lot to be desired. 8 out of the 10 people in my party left out all saying one word, "underwhelmed." It's wasn't a great experience for her 21st birthday and she wishes she would have picked another restaurant. She didn't even want to stay for dessert there, she went next door to get ice cream. Over all because of the atmosphere and because she did enjoy the chicken and someone else said the burger was good, I'm giving them two stars, but it definitely wasn't the right choice for that celebration. If you go, get the burger or the chicken, I think that's the best I can do for a review...
