Stunning New Café with Artistic Design & Cultural Vibes! ✨

Just discovered this absolutely breathtaking new spot in Chinatown - 【Cafe Tondo】literally left me speechless! 🤩 Sunlight filters through the pink-toned front room, casting a warm glow on the repurposed concrete floors of this former tire shop. The blend of patina and modern touches feels like stepping into a Spanish "tondo" circular painting 🖼️ This space is the brainchild of first-time restaurateur Abraham Campillo and chef Valeria Velásquez. Inspired by Mexican culture and his mother's hospitality, Campillo created a community hub where you can spend the whole day - from hand-brewed coffee in the morning to wine in the evening, all without changing locations! 🍷 The menu tells an incredible story! Velásquez has woven together Campillo's childhood memories, her own Bogotá upbringing, and years living in Mexico City: ▪️ Mornings: Café de olla (so fragrant with cane sugar & cinnamon!), croissants, nachos with green salsa, muffins, build-your-own egg plates🍳, plus conchas and pan de muerto in the pastry case🍮 ▪️ Afternoons: Add wine, sparkling wine, beer, Jarritos🍊, Mexican Coke🥤 - coffee available all day! ☕ ▪️ Evenings : Colombian empanadas, roasted pork/mushroom torta marinated olives + chips & salsa, must-try mains chicken Milanese with arugula salad🥗, steak with herb fries! Save room for the 【Café de Olla Affogato】dessert! 🍨 The space preserves the original green-tinged concrete floors, exposed ceilings, and white brick walls, accented with neon lights💡, gray stone bar, mirror columns, and dark wood shelves. All furniture comes from Mexico's Ombia Studio, ceramic wall art by Bugambilia artist Isabella Marengo, and even the decorations are from the owner's personal collection🖼️🎨 What's truly touching - the prices are so affordable! Breakfast under $20, most expensive steak $30, wine $15-17/glass, Tecate beer just $5! 💵 The owner says: "This isn't about competition, but about building a diverse community together." Future plans include jazz🎷, DJ nights🎧, bolero, and salsa evenings💃🎶 "The art, food, music, even the beer here - they're all memories from my. It's personal, but the beauty lies in sharing." 📍Cafe Tondo | 1135 N Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 ⏳ Open all day, walk-ins only in main hall, patio and side room available for reservations~ #RomanticizeLife #LADiscover #LACafes #DesignerRestaurants #LABars #CommunityCoffee #CafeTondo
