Sura Korean Bistro | Korean Cuisine in Dallas
Dallas already has a great variety of excellent Korean restaurants, but this one is my current favorite (based on personal taste; if you disagree, feel free to look elsewhere). It’s a bit far from where I live, so I usually visit on weekends or when I’m downtown. Surprisingly, I haven’t posted about it until now, so here we go. 📍2240 Royal Ln #106, Dallas, TX 75229 They offer both à la carte and all-you-can-eat options for ordering and barbecue. I always go à la carte and haven’t tried the barbecue, so I can’t comment on that. I remember the first time I visited, the waitstaff were all Korean aunties, which made me feel like I was in for a treat. And I was right—it was delicious. Now they’ve added younger servers, and the menu has been updated, but the dishes remain almost the same, and the flavors are as consistent as ever. They have almost everything except for the army stew. ⚠️ Check the menu: Lunch is generally a few dollars cheaper than dinner! 🤩 12 Side Dishes—The King of Side Dishes Almost every single one is delicious. I don’t need to mention the kimchi and spicy radish, but the potato, eggplant, glass noodles, tofu, and luffa are all great too. Honestly, you could just get a bowl of rice and fill up on these side dishes alone. 🤩 Spicy Galbi Jjim (Spicy Short Ribs Stew) My absolute favorite, and a must-order every time. Most Korean restaurants have some version of short ribs stew, but theirs is truly unique. Unlike others that are more broth-like, theirs is a bit more of a “thick sauce” that you can spoon over rice—it’s amazing. The seasoning is mildly spicy, very fragrant, and rich. The short ribs are tender, and it comes with rice cakes and glass noodles. I love it. #DallasKoreanFood #SuraKoreanBistro #KoreanCuisine #DallasLife #DallasFood #WhatToEatInDallas #WhatToEatAsAnInternationalStudent
