Surprising Japanese Spot in LA π¦ Got to Try Wagyu Shabu! π²
This Japanese restaurant is right near my home β Iβve passed by many times driving, and finally came with a friend to check it out. As soon as we sat down, we were recommended the winter-limited Wagyu Shabu Shabu. The Miyazaki Wagyu version is $98, and the Prime Ribeye version is $48. Since we were already here β tried the Wagyu version! π² It arrived in a clay pot with pre-boiled broth, a beautifully pink Wagyu plate, and a veggie platter (napa cabbage, enoki, shimeji mushrooms, tofu). The Wagyu doesnβt need long in the broth β best dipped in raw egg! They also offer takeout shabu β definitely getting that next time to enjoy at home π π¦ Lobster Sashimi was fresh, crisp, and sweet β perfect with a dab of wasabi or fresh grated horseradish. π¦ͺ Uni Oysters Uni is from Santa Barbara β huge pieces, sweet and briny, topped with ikura that bursts in your mouth. π₯© Beef Cubes Best eaten hot β super tender when warm, texture changes once cooled. π Smelt (was a favorite β every bite packed with roe! π¦ Dessert was matcha ice cream β flown in from Japan, not too sweet at all. They also have holiday party platter deals for takeout β perfect for Christmas gatherings π π KIYO Japanese Cuisine 815 W Naomi Ave #A, Arcadia, CA 91007 #KIYO #LAEats #LALife #ArcadiaEats π₯©π£
