Sweet Maple: One of California’s Hottest Brunch Spots 🍳

With locations across NorCal and SoCal, Sweet Maple is definitely one of the most iconic brunch destinations around! The Bay Area’s legendary brunch spot only operates from morning to afternoon — and they don’t take reservations. Lines are always out the door! I’ve always wanted to try the original SF location, but it was just too far. This time, I made it to the Cupertino branch 🏙️ The restaurant is beautifully decorated with both indoor and outdoor seating. Wait time indoors? At least an hour 😵… so we chose outdoors and still waited 20 minutes. I wasn’t expecting much… but wow — the food totally blew me away! 🥓 Millionaire’s Bacon: Thick-cut, perfectly cooked, not overly greasy. I got it with spicy sauce (and it had real kick!) — and I finished the whole thing, and I usually don’t even like bacon! 🧇 Chicken & Waffle: This isn’t your ordinary waffle — it’s made croissant-style 🥐, pressed into a waffle iron. SO flaky and buttery! The fried chicken was juicy and generous. Definitely a must-order. 🌽 Side Dishes: The fried corn was incredible — I always order corn when I see it, and this did not disappoint. The eggplant… was pretty basic. 🍳 Korean Short Rib Omelette Rice: Visually impressive! Sweet-glazed beef rib over fluffy omelette and rice. The meat was tender and flavorful — though the rice was just okay. Still, totally addictive! 🍹 Cocktails were a bit light — very fruit-forward. I suspect the restaurant is Thai-owned — the menu has subtle Southeast Asian influences. Overall: looong wait, always crowded — but worth the hype? Honestly, yes. Sweet Maple has 3 locations in Northern California and 2 in Southern California.
