Swiss Basel Michelin-Recommended Restaurant Au Violon
Finding good food in Switzerland, known as a "food desert," is no easy task. We found this Michelin-recommended restaurant, Brasserie Au Violon, on the official Michelin website. It's also a hotel, and the restaurant's decor is classic French bistro style. Most of the diners here are locals. 🍽️ The restaurant's website offers a digital seasonal menu. If you want to avoid making wrong choices, you can study the menu beforehand and decide what to eat. This is a French restaurant, and we ordered goat cheese salad, Vitello Tonnato (veal), baked snails, red wine duck liver, and steak with fries. We didn't know what to choose for dessert, so we left it to the chef. The dishes were all very delicate, and the ambiance was great. 🍖 The snails in French cuisine taste like: chicken flavor~crunchy~ The veal was very tender, perfectly cooked, but what really surprised me was the dessert. It was a combination of visual and taste pleasure. The nuts decorating the exterior were matched with the overall flavor, and it wasn't overly sweet or greasy. 🍰 The average cost per person here is around 80 Swiss francs, with an additional 8% service charge. It's much more expensive than in Italy. But when you're traveling, the experience is what matters, haha. 😄 #BaselSwitzerland #Switzerland #SwissCuisine #BaselTravel #BaselFood #BaselRestaurant #FoodDiary #SwissRestaurant #Basel
