Switzerland🇨🇭 Basel's Hard-to-Find Delicious Steak
Switzerland is often called a "food desert," but in cities like Geneva, Zurich, Lausanne, and Bern, you can still find some decent restaurants. But Basel! It really disappointed my taste buds. (The Chinese restaurant opposite the train station that caters to foreigners—oh my gosh, even as someone who isn't picky, I found it really hard to swallow.) And Basel's pho, at over 20 CHF a bowl, tastes just like a bouillon cube, similar to the one at Paris' Pyramide. This time, I finally found a good one: 📍 Beef7 Premium Steakhouse & Bar, just a 3-minute walk from the Basel City Hall. It has a Google rating of 4.7. Specializing in steak, I don't usually go for the super lean filet, so I chose the ribeye, which was really great 👍. The fat was so flavorful, and they also offer Wagyu and entrecôte. The carpaccio appetizer was exceptionally tender, with a great spice combination—I highly recommend it. For sides, you can choose between fries and grilled corn. The fries are thin and super crispy, which is quite unique and delicious 😋. I also highly recommend them. The grilled corn is good, but it comes as a whole cob. 💰 The average cost is about 85 CHF per person. #Basel #Steak #SwissLife #Switzerland #SwissTravel #PrimeCutSteak #PerfectSteak #SwissCuisine #BaselFood #SwissTravel
