Tōhō-ji Temple
Tōhō-ji Temple 🏯🌸 Tōhō-ji is the head temple of the Ōtani branch of Jōdo Shinshū Buddhism. 🌳🍃 It was established when General Tokugawa Ieyasu divided the original Hongan-ji temple into two. The main hall, the Goeido, located at the center, is the world's largest wooden structure. 🌳🍃 (Both the exterior and walking inside are truly awe-inspiring!) 🌳🍃 The temple primarily enshrines Amitabha Buddha and also honors the temple's founder, Shinran Shōnin. 🙏🌺 🌳🍃 #TohoJiTemple 🏯 #JodoShinshu 🌸 #Buddhism 🌿 #WoodenStructures 🍃
