Tacoma, Here I Come! 🚗💨
Today I moved from Seattle down to Tacoma to get a head start for tomorrow’s trip to Olympic National Park! 🌲🏞️ Here’s how the day went: ☕ Started the morning at Starbucks Reserve Roastery — grabbed some seriously good coffee. This isn’t just any Starbucks — it’s the original Roastery, the largest and most immersive coffee experience in the world! (Check my photo for a comparison between the Roastery, Reserve Stores, and the 1st Pike Store — it’s easy to mix them up! 😉) 🎨 Drove to Tacoma and visited the Chihuly Museum of Glass 🍄✨, then wandered around the nearby courthouse, history museum, and the University of Washington Tacoma campus. A great free alternative if you’ve already been to the Chihuly Garden in Seattle! 🚗 After lunch, headed to LeMay - America’s Car Museum — so many classic and vintage cars! 🚘🕰️ Then headed back to the hotel for a quick rest. 🌸 Around 5 PM, visited the Japanese Garden & Rose Garden 🌹🦌 — even spotted a little deer! Crossed the bridge to the viewpoint and the famous giant slide. 🥡 Had Chinese food for dinner, then did some shopping at supermarkets, ROSS, and T.J.Maxx 🛍️. Spending the night here in Tacoma! Pro Tips: The Starbucks Roastery is a must-visit for coffee lovers — it’s a whole different experience than regular stores. The Chihuly Museum of Glass here is free and makes a great “lite version” of the Seattle one. From the viewpoint, you can watch cars loading onto the ferries below — great prep for our ferry ride later! ⛴️👀 Excited for Olympic National Park tomorrow! 🥾🌲 #Tacoma #TravelDiary #WashingtonState #ChihulyGlass #StarbucksRoastery #TravelTips #OlympicNationalPark #TacomaViews
