Tacoma Summer Day Trip
☀️Accidentally stumbled upon the perfect summer day in Tacoma! Here’s my relaxed one-day itinerary filled with art, music, and good food. 🎨 Lucky Find: A Vibrant Festival & Free Museum! We originally planned to visit the Washington State History Museum, but got a sweet surprise—a lively festival was happening right outside! 🎪 The museum offered free admission that day 🆓 Dozens of local artists set up booths with handmade crafts 🧶 A live band was playing—such a happy summer vibe! 🎸 🌿 Proctor Farmers' Market: Cozy & Lively A charming neighborhood market, not too big but full of energy: Beautiful fresh flower stalls 💐 Live music performances 🎶 Grabbed a delicious freshly-made wood-fired pizza for a quick bite 🍕 🔥 Museum of Glass: The Real Highlight! If you like Seattle’s Chihuly Garden, you’ll love this sister museum: Features many stunning works by Dale Chihuly 🎭 Large-scale installations are displayed outdoors—truly impressive! The bridge leading to the museum is a piece of art itself 🌉 The live glassblowing studio is even more dramatic than Seattle’s—so fascinating to watch artists create in real time! 🔥 🚂 Washington State History Museum: Compact but Fun Looks big from outside, but can be explored pretty quickly ⏳ The highlight is definitely the detailed model train display that recreates a historic cityscape 🚂 🥩 Asado: Solid Argentine-style BBQ Not the most authentic Argentine grill, but still tasty: Flavors were satisfying 👍 A good spot to refuel after a day of walking 🥩 💭 Final Thoughts: Tacoma in the summer is such a pleasant surprise—easy to explore, full of art, and perfect for a relaxed day trip from Seattle! #US #Tacoma #Washington DC
