Takai by Kashiba – An Omakase Experience 🍣💬

Had high hopes for Taka by Kashiba ✨, sister restaurant of the famed Kashiba. Their $160 omakase promised a lot! 🎩💫 Unfortunately, no counter seats this time, so missed some of the chef's magic. 🧑🍳➡️🚫 The most memorable part (sadly) was the flaw: the shari (sushi rice) 🍚. It was firm & cool ❄️, lacking the warm, fluffy texture that makes great sushi. The seasoning felt mute 🎚️🔇, failing to unite fish and rice. 🐟➕🍚 ≠ ❤️ While the fish quality was decent 🐠✅, it was let down by its foundation.
