Tampa 4-Day 4-Night Travel Guide (Part 2)
Day 3: Weeki Wachee Kayak 🛶 After reading many reviews, we chose the downstream tour with Weeki Wachee Kayak Company. Although the clear kayaks looked gorgeous, we decided to go for the easiest option since we were with our kid 😅. Turned out to be a good call! Even going downstream, we still had to paddle to steer—it was a fun challenge for first-timers. The whole trip took about 2 hours. The river is known as the “Jiuzhaigou of North America” 🏞️—and it totally lives up to the name! Absolutely stunning 💙. We saw big fish swimming under us and were super lucky to spot a manatee too 🐟🧡! Remember to apply plenty of sunscreen—this is a must! ☀️🧴 On the way back, we stopped by a beach that our little one had been asking for. Since parking at Clearwater Beach had been a hassle the other day, we went to Honeymoon Island State Park instead 🏖️. Maybe not as perfectly white as Clearwater, but still lovely—and much easier for parents with young kids! 👨👩👧 Day 4: Tampa Downtown 🏙️ It was our departure day, but we still had half a day to explore. We headed to downtown Tampa and hopped on the free TECO Streetcar 🚋. We could’ve ridden it all day—because July in Florida is scorching hot 🔥, and the streetcar is air-conditioned ❄️! We got off at Centro Ybor, the historic district. It’s a bit run-down now—better to avoid at night. Not the safest area after dark. ⚠️ The whole 4-day trip was full of fun but not too exhausting. We kept meals simple—mostly focused on the kids’ preferences. Fancy dining will have to wait till they’re older 😄. Very happy with how the trip turned out! 🙌 #Tampa #TampaRealEstate #Florida 🌴🐬👙
