Finally got around to writing this after a month! Went to Tampa in early October between two hurricanes ππ. Original plan was , but due to hurricane damage, Clearwater was closed and many places were affected. Had to adjust the itinerary last minuteβstill had an amazing time! If youβre visiting under normal conditions and have a rental car, you can follow this plan with minor adjustments: π Ulele area is great for wandering + sunset views π βallocate extra 30 mins π Ringling Museum is HUGE and so fun! Go early! Needs at least 3+ hours πͺ π Siesta Beachβs $1 oysters = terrible! Avoid! π«π¦ͺ π Coastal Cruise: Bring a jacket! The island stop has gorgeous sunsets π π Weeki Wachee: Book the boat cruise ASAP upon entry π£. If you kayak, skip the cruise. π Dinner at Siesta Beach: Highly recommend Walt's Fish Market Restaurant πβfresh daily catch! π If time allows, spend extra half-days in both St. Petersburg + Siesta Key! π St. Pete recs: North Straub Park (sailboats β΅), Imagine Museum (cool glass art π¨) π Siesta Key extras: St. Armands Circle, Lido Key Beach, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens πΊ, tapas at Beso π« π Tarpon Springs Greek Village π¬π·: So charming! Buy a natural sponge π§½βgreat for face/body! Greek food = delicious & cheap! π Safety Harbor (north of Clearwater): Artsy vibe! Visit Whimzeyland + Safety Harbor Art And Music Center π¨π΅ π On way back from State Park to Tampa: Eat at Thα»nh An Kitchen & Tofu πβamazing Vietnamese pho + snacks!
