Tampa Day 1 | The Dalí Museum + The Pier

Went to St. Petersburg on the first day — absolutely loved it overall! 🌟 📍The Dalí Museum Located by a ship dock, you’ll be greeted with gorgeous views as soon as you arrive. It’s a quiet, chill spot with not too many people. I heard it’s one of only two Dalí museums in the world 🎨—definitely worth a visit in my opinion. 🎫 General admission: $35 | Student ticket: $22 | Dalí 360 experience: $15 (a 40-minute immersive film, last show around 2:30 or 3:30 PM) 🎨 Art Collection Dalí’s most famous work, The Persistence of Memory, is in New York, but this museum features his early works, experimental photographs, installation art, and jewelry pieces. ✨ AR Experience Many large or surprising paintings have QR codes you can scan. Point your phone at the artwork, and animations help reveal hidden elements and compositions—super impressive and mind-blowing! ✨ VR Experience Three minutes per person—enter a world inspired by Dalí’s art. It was cool but kinda creepy lol 😅 At one point, a little girl suddenly started jumping rope right in front of me. Pro tip: check out the left tower—you can go upstairs. Seems more fun than wandering around downstairs! ☕️ Café Unexpectedly served some of the best drinks we had the whole trip—and affordable too! Dirty Dalí : An Earl Gray latte with a light spice note and chocolate powder on top. Some bits stayed crunchy—so good! Strawberry Matcha Latte: My friend loved it. Also tried a savory egg and potato cake—pretty tasty but a bit heavy after a while. 📸 Photo Spots Outside the café, there’s a bench with Dalí’s iconic melting clock 🕰️, with ships and the sea in the background—very insta-worthy! The entrance is also photogenic. 📍St. Petersburg Pier Such a beautiful place! Gave us major Barcelona vibes 😮. The whole area feels very new and modern. Just a heads-up—it gets super chilly around sunset—bring a jacket! 🧥 #Tampa #TampaTravel #Dalí #DalíMuseum #StPetersburg #Pier
