Tampa Eats | LA Teresita — A Must-Try Affordable Cuban Restaurant 🍛✨
Just wrapped up a 4-day, 3-night trip to Tampa! Ready to share some travel and food guides~ First stop: this hidden gem—LA Teresita Restaurant 🇨🇺 📍 Address: 3248 W Columbus Dr, Tampa, FL 33607 Near the airport ✈️, with plenty of parking. Perfect for those with rental cars! 🍽️ Food Review: Went at 11 AM on Friday right after they opened—no reservation, no wait! Ordered three main dishes from the Friday Daily Specials + coffee ☕ Each main comes with 1–2 sides. Everything was delicious, very Chinese-friendly, and the portions were huge and cheap! Three people ate until full for just over $50 💰 1️⃣ Fried Rice— MUST ORDER! Almost exactly like Chinese fried rice—even topped with green onions 🍚✨ Only difference: the rice is softer and moist. Comes with one side—we chose fries. 2️⃣ Shredded Beef — Another Friday must-order! Tastes like slow-cooked tomato beef—so homestyle and tender 🍅🐮 Comes with two sides: we picked Yuca (chewy and satisfying 👌) and fried plantains (like less-sweet banana fritters 🍌) 3️⃣ Roast Pork — Just okay, a bit salty 🥓 Came with two sides: chicken soup (tasted like classic Chinese chicken noodle soup 🍜😂) and Yuca again (shouldn’t have doubled up—too filling!) 4️⃣ Cafe con Leche — Recommended by the waiter Super smooth, almost like silk-stock milk tea! Loved it 🧋❤️ 5️⃣ FREE starter bread — A must-try! It’s like stuffed naan—crispy outside, soft inside 🥖🔥 They also have a bakery section with cheap pastries. Bought a $1+ cream-filled bun (forgot to take a )—too sweet though 🥲 Too bad they don’t sell that amazing starter bread! Overall, highly recommend if you’re in Tampa! 🙌 #Tampa #TampaEats #TampaFoodGuide #CubanFood #FoodieAdventure #TravelTampa
