Haven’t booked on Tock in a while—thanks to a friend who snatched a last-minute table for two! December’s menu is full of great drinking dishes, and the fish is beautifully fatty 😍 Too bad there’s no kamameshi again—felt a bit abrupt ending with just the handroll… 🍽️ Highlights: 🦀️ Crab sweet and fresh to start 🐚 Shirako + Sea Snail creamy and rich 🐟 Steamed Kinmedai tender and flavorful 🍵 Hassun: plum chawanmushi wasn’t my favorite, but the saikyo yaki keeps getting better! ⭐️ Smoked Scallop with Bottarga aromatic topping + a solo slice of bottarga for sipping~ 🥇 Miso Miyazaki Wagyu the star of the night! Well-marbled, perfectly seasoned 🍶 Minor rant: The sake prices here are… astronomical.
