Taos One-Day Guide 🧜
After spending Day 1 & 2 in Santa Fe, we headed north on Day 3 to Taos — a Native American village that still preserves its ancient way of life. We drove north the previous afternoon and stayed overnight at the trendy RV campground, Luna Mystica. The next morning, we visited Taos Pueblo. Here’s a rundown of our trip: 🧡 Santuario de Chimayo We stumbled upon this chapel along the way — a hidden gem I haven’t seen many people recommend. The serene atmosphere made everything feel so peaceful. 🧡 San Francisco de Asís Church An incredibly charming church just before entering downtown Taos. It looked like it was covered in a clay filter, and we caught it at sunset — absolutely stunning. 🧡 Taos Plaza A smaller version of Santa Fe’s plaza, with a “Made in New Mexico” sign that’s perfect for photos. 🧡 World Cup Café Ordered a white chocolate latte — it was so unforgettable 😍 I can still remember how rich and aromatic it was. 🧡 Cabot Plaza A small block we accidentally discovered, full of cute little shops. 🧡 Dinner at La Cueva Cafe Their fajitas were absolutely delicious 😭👏 🧡 Stayed at Luna Mystica We built a bonfire and stargazed — such a healing experience! I’ll share more about this unique desert RV stay in a future post. The next morning we visited: 🧡 Taos Pueblo An ancient Native American village where people still live today. This community is over a thousand years old and represents an important symbol of Indigenous culture in the U.S. Guided tours are offered every half hour to share its history. Many elder women set up stalls outside selling unique handmade crafts. Note: It closes at 3:30 PM, so plan ahead! 🧡 Taos Art Museum at Fechin House A fantastic local museum set in a traditional Indigenous-style house. I absolutely loved New Mexico — it’s one of those places you want to return to the moment you leave. #Travel #NewMexico #Taos
