Tasted the most delicious Florentine T-bone steak in Florence.
I doubt anyone has written about this place before. 🥩When I came to Florence, I still wanted to try the signature T-bone steak. I didn't want to go to those popular restaurants with long queues that I saw on social media. So I searched on Google Maps and found a small restaurant with a 4.7 rating. You can walk in, but if you book in advance on TheFork, you can get a 30% discount. My friend and I ordered the signature T-bone steak, "Bistecca alla fiorentina con filetto scottona femmina 22 mesi," which costs 60 euros per kilogram. The minimum order is 1.2 kilograms, 🥖so that's 72 euros. We also ordered roasted vegetables (7 euros) as a side dish (I would recommend spinach or salad instead, as the roasted vegetables turned out to be zucchini, eggplant, and bell peppers, which were not what we expected). The restaurant also provided free bread before the meal. The steak was cooked to medium well, as recommended by the staff. The outer layer had a thin, crispy crust with a beautiful Maillard reaction, while the inside was tender and juicy. It was easy to cut with a knife and fork. We seasoned it with black pepper and sea salt and dipped it in a little balsamic vinegar. It was heavenly! We also ordered a tiramisu, which seemed to be made with egg yolks and was incredibly delicious. After the discount, the total cost for the two of us was 73.4 euros (including the side dish, dessert, and sparkling water). The restaurant also offers a 30-euro set menu that includes a 500-gram T-bone steak, but this set menu cannot be combined with the 30% discount from TheFork. It's perfect for someone who wants to try the T-bone steak alone without a dining partner. ⏰ 11:00 - 23:00 #ItalianCuisine #TBoneSteak #MeatLovers #Florence #FlorenceFood #FlorenceTravel #HiddenGems #RestaurantReview
