Stopped by for an early dinner today. The steak was not very good — chewy, parts were medium rare as requested, parts were cooked through. Lots of salt on the steak as well, borderline too much. Far from the best steak I’ve ever had and I’ve had some really good ones in Florence as well, much better than this. Wife had chicken with cheese, which was dry; we also had pasta that was decent except there was just a TON of pepper ground on top of it. Service was cheerful enough but it was very clear that these guys have little idea what they’re doing. Unsure where the rave reviews are coming from — maybe it’s the 5pm crew that sucks and the real chef comes in at 7 or something? Anyway, I can’t recommend this for the price, extremely lackluster steak and food that’s way too expensive for how poorly it’s made.
edit: actually on re-reading this I’m not even sure why I gave the place 2 stars, every single dish we had wasn’t good :/ Guys, if you need some tips for how to properly season food or how not to overcook chicken or how to sear steak, I can drop some Youtube links here — maybe watch them before charging €40...
Read moreI had one of the best burgers EVER here. I am so glad I happened upon this restaurant and got a table before they became full. The waitress was absolutely amazing, friendly and told me all about their products. I got the Saporita "Tasty" Burger and oven baked potatoes. Their bread is hand made on site and was absolutely delicious and the meat was cooked to perfection. She brought ketchup and mayonnaise separately and explained that if I wanted to use it, of course I could, but the quality of the ingredients was so top notch that I only used the condiments for the potatoes, which for me is crazy because I always put some sort of sauce on my burgers. Didn't need a thing. Because the dinner was so delicious and knowing everything is freshly hand made, I ordered the tiramisu, and I am so happy I did, it was absolutely DELICIOUS and the perfect size. The chef was amazing. The atmosphere and music was perfect. Classic old jazz like Etta James and Louis Armstrong made me want to stay forever. I will absolutely recommend to anyone going to Florence and I will definitely return to eat here on my next...

Now, the bistecca alla fiorentina – simply phenomenal. Perfectly cooked over open flame, beautifully seasoned, and served with pride. The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, with that authentic charred crust that only true masters can achieve. Portions are generous, and everything from the olive oil to the wine pairings was top quality.
Our server was knowledgeable and passionate about the menu, recommending the perfect Chianti to match our meal. The side dishes, like the roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables, were the ideal complement to the steak.
To top it off, the dessert – their house-made tiramisu – was one of the best I’ve ever tasted.
If you’re in Florence and want an unforgettable steak experience, Manzo Firenze is a must. Worth every euro. I’ll...
