🌵✨ Teleport to the African Savanna—in the California Desert!

Who knew that just 2 hours from LA, near Palm Springs 🌴, you’d find a miniature African wilderness?! 📍 The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens (Palm Desert) Blew. My. Mind. 🤯💥 This place packs desert flora & fauna from around the world, plus up-close animal encounters 😻🫶🏻 (Some activities/tours are time-limited, so plan ahead!) I thought I’d spend 1-2 hours… but stayed till closing—almost missed souvenir shopping! 🛍️⏳ 📌 MUST-SEE SPOT: Giraffe Habitat 🦒📸 My favorite part! (Spent the longest time here.) Dodge the fences in your pics, and boom—you’re in Africa! 🌍📷 My IG stories had friends asking, “Wait, when did you fly to Kenya?!” ✈️😉 You can even feed the giraffes! (Extra $10 🥬💰—totally worth it!) They’re super gentle (though sometimes you get a slobbery lick… 💦😂). 📌 Other Highlights: ➡️ Kangaroo Walkabout 🦘💕 No barriers! Just you and Bennett’s Wallabies (smaller, friendlier kangaroos). Sometimes they hop just 3 steps away—unreal! 🔥 ➡️ Goat Grooming 🐐🪮 Surprisingly clean (staff constantly tidy up 💩). Staff hand out brushes—groom the baby goats! (Some are sassy and refuse… mood.) 😤 ➡️ Sand Cats 🐱😽 (Desert’s Grumpy Pikachu!) First time seeing these wild desert felines!
