Texas-Mexico Border | Two Worlds, One Wall
Finally made it to the Lone Star State! This time I visited the border city of El Paso, driving east on I-10 from Arizona through New Mexico. Four hours later, I arrived in Anthony, TX, and snapped a photo with the iconic “Welcome to Texas” sign! 🚗💨 The Border Wall Navigated to Anapra Road, Sunland Park, NM 88063 (fun fact: this road is actually in New Mexico!). At the end of the road is Border Wall 357. I passed two patrol vehicles — the officers were friendly and let me take photos, but I’d still recommend carrying a valid ID just in case! 🛂📸 📍 Scenic Drive is a winding mountain road with epic views. From Murchison Rogers Park, you can see across the border. Come before sunset to experience both day and night views! In Pic 1, the red “X” marks the Mexican side — brightly lit and lively, creating a striking contrast with the quieter Texas side. 🌆✨ 🍖 The Real Highlight: Texas BBQ! I went to Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q and devoured some seriously good meat. Absolutely worth the stop! ⛽ Gas at $2.20! Filled up at what might be some of the cheapest gas in the U.S. — a road tripper’s dream! 🚙💨 If you’re into raw landscapes, cultural contrasts, and unbeatable BBQ — the El Paso border area is a road trip must-see. Just remember your ID, your camera, and your appetite! #US #Texas #El Paso
