Thai Food in Philly | JJ Thai – The Curry Duck Is the Best 🦆🍛

Finally tried JJ Thai, recommended by so many friends—but overall, it’s quite heavy-handed and didn’t live up to the hype for me… 📍 2028 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 🥘 Tom Yum Soup Tasted exactly like Mama instant noodles—with mushrooms and shrimp. Small portion. 🍛 Curry Chicken Chicken was a bit dry, seasoning was strong—pretty ordinary. 🍖 Beef Short Ribs Portion was okay, meat was tender, but flavor was forgettable. Veggies weren’t well-seasoned. 🥭 Mango Sticky Rice Mango was firm/hard, sticky rice was good though. 🌟 Curry Duck – The Only Winner! Tasted like it was roasted first, then stir-fried in curry—really tasty! The combo of curry and roast duck reminded me of the first time I had mao kao ya But my partner—who’s from Nanjing—wasn’t impressed 😅. 💰 ~$30 per person #PhillyFoodDiary #GlobalFoodieChallenge #PhillyFood #FoodieGram #InternationalStudentEats
