Most of these photos were taken while walking on the ancient city walls. ✨✨The ancient city of Lugo boasts the world’s best-preserved Roman walls. The tall walls, made of schist, are 2,140 meters long, about 11 meters high, and 4.5 meters thick. ✨Of the 85 semi-circular stone forts that protrude from the walls, 50 are still preserved. The entire wall has 10 gates, and there is a complete walking path on the wall that takes about thirty minutes to circle the city.
