The authentic Chianina steak!
Ristorante La Cavallina is a restaurant that I've been to quite a while ago and have been thinking about ever since. It's not located in the city center; it's about a 35-minute drive away. But because the food is really delicious, many locals frequent this place, along with quite a few truck drivers who pass by.🖼️🖼️🖼️ Their porcini mushrooms are particularly fresh and plump, making them a perfect accompaniment to both pasta and steak. (Porcini are seasonal, and the ones that are available year-round tend to be smaller and a bit shriveled, which I'm not a fan of.)🥩🥩🥩 The second picture is of the white truffle steak, which is a bit more special than the black truffle version. I forgot to take a photo of the T-bone steak. The authentic bistecca alla fiorentina should be made from Chianina cattle. But with Italy's booming tourism industry, there just aren't that many Chianina steaks to go around. Many T-bone steaks in Florence's city center are actually made from regular beef (though the cattle from Tuscany are already considered some of the best in the world).😻😻😻 This place!!! Yes!!! That's right!!! It's the real deal when it comes to Chianina steak!😀😀😀 It's also worth mentioning that their black olives are incredibly delicious. I used to dislike olives, but after trying them here, I even took some home to enjoy later. They're really that good👍 The restaurant is located in Barberino, and you can also take the opportunity to visit the outlet mall while you're there. It was quite a productive day!
