The Best Chinese Food in Oxford – No Doubt! | Zhang Ji
I’d been in Oxford for over half a year before trying Zhang Ji. I’d heard so many recommendations but thought people were exaggerating… Turns out Zhang Ji is truly ADDICTIVE!!! 😍 The taste, price, portion size, and service – I literally can’t find a single flaw! You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. I’ve ordered almost every dish multiple times. Whenever I don’t know what to eat in Oxford, I go to Zhang Ji. Their portions are seriously generous – typical Northeastern style! Two people ordering three dishes? You’ll definitely have leftovers. 🥡 🍽️ Dish Ratings: Dry Pot Pork Intestines 💛💛💛💛 Stir-fried Sauerkraut with Vermicelli 💛💛 Pork with Sauerkraut & Vermicelli Stew 💛💛 (The sauerkraut dishes aren’t bad, but the sauerkraut itself isn’t very fragrant – not cooked in meat broth. Not recommended for Northeasterners.) Spicy Mixed Dish (Málà Bàn) 💛💛💛💛 Ask for extra sesame paste and sugar – it’s a game-changer! The owner gave me a whole bowl last time – so generous! 🥜 Spicy Dry Pot (Málà Xiāngguō) 💛💛💛💛 Sweet & Sour Pork (Guōbāoròu) 💛💛💛💛 Chicken Stew with Mushrooms 💛💛💛💛 Beef Brisket Clay Pot 💛💛💛 Tasty, but just not my personal favorite. Braised Pork Knuckle 💛💛💛 Very authentic Northeastern homestyle flavor – just not my top choice. Cold Skin Noodle Salad 💛💛💛💛 Tastes like liángpí – so good! Signature Eggplant 💛💛💛💛💛 A must-order every time – never gets old! 🍆 📍 Zhang Ji A true gem in Oxford – highly recommended for anyone craving real Chinese flavors! #UK #LondonLife #StudyUK #Oxford #OxfordFood #OxfordTravel #ChineseCuisine 🥢✨
