The Best French Cuisine in Little London - David's Bistro
Today, my boyfriend and I visited David’s Bistro, a French restaurant we’ve passed by many times but never noticed before. We ordered one appetizer, two main courses, two desserts, and two drinks. Recommendations: ✅ Appetizer - BBQ Shrimp: This dish was on the daily special menu and was absolutely delicious 😋. If I were to rate it out of ten, I’d give it twelve! As someone who loves Chinese food, I could easily have two bowls of rice with this dish. ✅ Crispy Roasted Breast of Chicken: The fried chicken breast comes with mushroom sauce and is topped with chopped bacon. Underneath the chicken is mashed potato. The mushroom sauce is the highlight of this dish – it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had! The chicken itself is quite ordinary, but the combination of mashed potato and mushroom sauce is exceptional. ✅ Crème Brûlée: I’d call this the best crème brûlée in London. The caramel is crispy, and the flavor is not overly sweet – it’s not cloying at all. This is a basic dessert at any French restaurant, but I think it’s even better than the ones I’ve had in Montreal. Average Choices: ⭕️ Duck Leg Confit: The duck leg has crispy skin from being fried, and it’s served with a type of fried potato that reminds me of the fried dumplings my family makes during the New Year. This dish is quite standard – it’s something you could take or leave. ⭕️ Dark Chocolate Truffle: This is similar to Japanese raw chocolate. If you like it, you’ll really like it, but it’s not something everyone will dislike. At $3 per piece, it’s worth trying! #LittleLondon #LittleLondonRestaurants #LondonCanada #WhatToEatInLittleLondon #CanadianLondonFood
