London, Ontario | 168 Sushi BBQ
I heard that 168 Sushi has launched Japanese-style BBQ, so I rushed here with friends today to give it a try. Here are my recommendations: ✅ Beef Tongue - Very tender, with just the right size, thickness, and flavor. ✅ Zucchini - After grilling, it absorbs the BBQ sauce well and is very juicy. It’s a healthy and delicious option. ✅ Pineapple - Normal flavor, but it’s cut into heart shapes, which is quite cute. ✅ Beef Short Ribs - The Korean-style short ribs have a sweet flavor and are really tasty. ✅ Garlic Clams in Foil - This dish is very similar to what you’d find at night markets back home. It’s worth a try and won’t fill you up too much. Optional Dishes: ⭕️ Thick-Cut Pork Belly - The pork flavor is quite strong, which I personally found a bit overwhelming. ⭕️ Chicken Thighs - Tender, but they have a strange aftertaste. ⭕️ Shrimp - The shrimp in the BBQ section are quite average, but you can try the ones that are skewered and grilled separately—they are delicious. 💰 Pricing: Monday to Thursday: Lunch for $30.99, Dinner for $40.99 Weekend: Lunch is around $33.99, Dinner for $43.99 For groups of five or more, a 15% service charge is mandatory. Summary: It’s worth a visit. Even if you come during lunchtime, you can ask the chef for the dinner menu. I think the dinner is more worth it compared to lunch. It’s only $10 more, but you get to try several more types of meat. Also, stay focused while grilling! The marinade might have a lot of sugar, and the grill’s heat is quite intense, so the meat can easily get burnt, which will affect the taste. #LondonOntario #CanadaLondon #LondonRestaurants
