The Best Korean BBQ of My Life in London!!
‼️I tried Korean BBQ for the first time in London, thanks to my friend from Canary Wharf. We found this hidden gem called Sayge Restaurant, located in the basement of an apartment building. The price-to-quality ratio was incredibly high! We spent an average of £30-40 per person and left completely stuffed. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and the service was top-notch. The staff frequently refilled our water, offered to help with the grilling, and changed the hot plates often. ‼️We ordered the signature pork belly and ribeye. Who can resist the sizzling, juicy pork belly and beef tongue? I loved wrapping the meat in lettuce with some cold seaweed salad and kimchi – it was impossible to stop at just one! ‼️If I had to pick a soup, it would definitely be Galbitang, the beef short rib soup. The beef falls off the bone in seconds, and I really enjoyed the soft, tender daikon radish. I highly recommend the Korean cold noodles, just like in Korean dramas. I prefer the sweet and spicy sauce version over the plain cold noodles. The noodles are chewy, and the dish comes with generous slices of beef and cucumber. It’s refreshing and perfect for summer. ‼️We also ordered garlic soy and spring onion fried chicken. We went for the smaller portions to avoid overeating, but they were still substantial – even the small portions had six or seven pieces. The chicken was coated in sauce, crispy on the outside, and not at all greasy. My friend and I agreed that the garlic soy chicken gizzards were the best dish here. However, the portions were so large that we couldn’t finish everything, even with all the main dishes we ordered. Usually, one dish per person is enough. #InternationalStudentUK #LondonLife #NoScrimpingOnFoodWhileStudying
