The Best Museum in Cologne: Museum Ludwig 🎨✨
Still traveling with a love for art, I visited the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, located right next to the Cologne Cathedral, and was immediately drawn in by the vast collection and the in-depth introduction to local Cologne artists and movements. Museum Ludwig is truly a haven for modern and contemporary art in Europe, with an extensive collection of 20th-century works from various art movements. Here, you can find masterpieces from Expressionism, Cubism, Dadaism, Pop Art, and more! The museum houses over 700 works by Picasso, making it one of the largest Picasso collections in the world, only behind the Picasso museums in Paris and Spain. You'll also find works by Dalí, Lichtenstein, and Warhol on display. After my visit, I honestly think this is the best museum in Cologne! The exhibition includes everything from traditional paintings to sculptures and installation pieces. There’s also a photography section—Agfa-Foto-Historama—featuring a century and a half of photographic history. It’s one of the world’s largest historical photography and camera museums, making it a perfect spot for photography lovers! 📸 Don’t forget to visit the rooftop terrace garden, where you can get a fantastic view of the Cologne Cathedral—it's an excellent place to take photos of this iconic landmark! 📷🏞️ #Cologne #MuseumLudwig #ArtTravel #ArtLovers #ContemporaryArt #ModernArt #Germany #MustVisitMuseums
