The black truffle pasta over 20 is delicious
Caught up with long-lost friends after work, and we chose this spot—and it was such a good call! 😊 We came specifically for the black truffle mushroom cream fettuccine… and wow, it did NOT disappoint! At only $28, it’s a total steal 💰—taste-wise, it’s shockingly similar to the $40+ version I had at Gradi before. The truffle aroma hits you as soon as it’s served—so rich and earthy 🤤—and the portion’s so generous. No way you’ll leave hungry! The only tiny downside? No meat in it. But hey, it’s the first time I’ve thought a veggie option could be this satisfying—no complaints there! We also split a Calamari between the three of us. They chop it into small pieces, and it’s fried to a crispy golden crunch 🔥, with a subtle sweet-tart flavor that’s super moreish. The seafood risotto was solid too—creamy, flavorful, and packed with that classic rich broth. The tomato bolognese lasagna, though? We all agreed it’s just okay—totally skippable if you’re choosing. Four dishes for three people, and we only spent around $35 per person. Yep, we left stuffed—another successful foodie meetup! 😋 🍝 Maccaroni Trattoria Italiana 📍 10-16 Manchester Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000 #GlobalFoodCriticContest #MelbourneFood #MelbourneCBDFood #WhatToEatInMelbourne #AffordableMelbourneFood #MelbourneItalianRestaurant #MelbournePasta #FoodieDaily
