The Chapel Closest to Heaven π β A Must-Visit in This Lifetime π
The Chapel Closest to Heaven π β You Have to Go at Least Once in Your Life Fred W. Symmes ChapelI first saw photos of it online and was completely blown away. Right then, it became a non-negotiable item on my travel bucket list. My family are Christians βοΈ, so Iβve always had a unique love for churches π«Ά. I talked it over with my husband, and we decided to take a spontaneous trip βοΈ β though this trip came with a lot of nerves. Two weeks before we left, we heard the mountains near the chapel had caught fire π₯. We were terrified the chapel would be closed, but luckily, it reopened five days before our departure. A crucial tip for anyone planning to go: always check the official website for opening hours before you set off! We left Myrtle Beach at midnight and drove for five and a half hours, arriving just ten minutes before the chapel opened. If you stay in Greenville, itβs much closer β the drive from the foot of the mountain to the top takes about 50 minutes. But let me tell you, those mountain roads are like a β18-bend mountain passβ β twisty and winding! I didnβt get carsick once during the four-hour drive before that, but those mountain roads had me feeling queasy. My head was spinning by the time we arrived. When we got to the top, it was still dark. Around 7 AM, we watched the sun π slowly rise over the horizon. Even with the lingering carsickness, the breathtaking view perked me up instantly β it was so beautiful. More people started arriving as the sun came up; some locals even brought their Bibles to read while watching the sunrise π . It was such a fitting, peaceful scene. If you ever get the chance, do yourself a favor and visit this chapel that feels closest to heaven π. Itβs an experience you wonβt forget. #NewYork #PlacesToVisitInALifetime #UnforgettableAttractions #InThisMomentIAmAboveEverythingButBelowYou #ClosestToHeaven #SouthCarolina #SouthCarolinaChapel #SouthCarolinaChapelSunrise #SouthCarolina
