The Golden State House of Rhode Island 🏛️

💗I had no idea the Rhode Island State House was so worth visiting! On weekdays, it's not crowded and parking is super convenient — plus, it's completely free! 💗The entire building is made of gleaming marble, and the moment you step inside, you’re struck by its luxurious, vintage atmosphere ✨ 💎I originally planned just a quick self-guided tour (the building isn’t overly large), but then I met an incredibly friendly guide in the library! 💎She told us a free guided tour was about to start and made sure we didn’t miss any of the highlights. It turned out to be a hidden gem of an experience! Thanks to the tour, I learned so much:✅ The dome in the rotunda is the fourth-largest self-supporting marble dome in the world 💟 The legislative chambers still have their original 19th-century seating and voting systems The library’s spiral staircase is breathtaking — every photo looks like a movie scene ✅ The chandeliers in the governor’s reception room are entirely made of crystal — almost blindingly dazzling #Architecture #RhodeIslandTravel #Providence
